Alfalfa is the oldest known forage plant in the world. The Persians used alfalfa as animal feed as early as 500 BC. It is an absolutely top feed plant, especially when you avoid pesticides etc. by using the organic kind.
AlfaVet is 100% pure, dried, organic alfalfa produced in Germany, nothing else.
AlfaVet is harvested when the nutrient content is at its highest and therefore has a very high nutrient density.
The harvested alfalfa is cut and dried, which ensures that the nutritional value is preserved while avoiding mold and dust. The raw material is then cold-pressed, ensuring storage stability and better dosability.
The calcium : phosphorus ratio is between 3-5 times calcium to one part phosphorus, which makes AlfaVet suitable for balancing grain feeding for an optimal ratio.
